Tamashek/Tuareg Crosses
This is a beautiful display of the Tamashek people's highly skilled silverwork. These framed crosses are representations of the 21 different Tuareg provinces, or clans, across Niger. Each cross is named in Tamashek, the Tuareg's native language. They are made of silver/nickel and mounted securely on a blue velvet background. The wood frame is tightly wrapped and exquisitely embossed with leather and has a hook on the back for hanging.
Only one frame like this one! .
